SunDanzer Direct-Drive Solar Refrigerator Features
In June 2010 SunDanzer has introduced the world's first solar refrigerator that can connect directly to your solar panels without other controls or batteries, a battery-free refrigerator. For users on a budget, you can avoid the expense of a charge controller and deep draw batteries. The Model DDR165 will run on one 120 watt 12 volt solar panel in most locations.

SunDanzer offers an optional 1.5 inch thick thermal ice pack measuring 30 x 30 x 6 inches which is made to conform to the sidewalls of the chest style refrigerator, allowing cool temperatures to be maintained for up to four days without power.
This is an excellent option for critical refrigeration requirements such as preserving temperature sensitive pharmaceuticals or refrigerated or frozen specimens, not to mention Ben & Jerry's "Chunky Monkey" and "Cherry Garcia" ice cream. Each ice pack can store approximately 80 pounds of goods, or approximately 85,300 calories of ice cream.
